Zimmerman lost to Mound-Westonka back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Thunder took down the White Hawks 34-19. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Thunder's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the White Hawks are ranked 127th).

The win made it two in a row for Zimmerman and bumps their season record up to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.0 points over those games. As for Mound-Westonka, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zimmerman will welcome Chisago Lakes Area at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunder will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mound-Westonka, they will host Hutchinson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
