Linn-Mar faced Dallas Center-Grimes in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mustangs, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on three straight.

Linn-Mar pushed their record up to 24-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, they moved to 22-3 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Linn-Mar wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Xavier on the 28th. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, they have also already played their next matchup, an 8-1 win against Pleasant Valley on the 28th.
