Mount Vernon strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Lakeside Vikings with a sharp 20-3 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won six games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mount Vernon's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Mount Vernon will venture away from home to take on Cambridge at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lakeside, they will host Shiloh at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
