Football Recap: Central Knights vs. St. Raphael Academy Saints
Central pushed their score to 35 the last time they played St. Raphael Academy, but on Saturday they couldn't quite do it again. The Central Knights fell 13-2 to the St. Raphael Academy Saints. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2019.
Central dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for St. Raphael Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Barrington at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Raphael Academy, they will challenge Cranston West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cranston West will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something St. Raphael Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
