Soccer Game Preview: Iowa Falls-Alden vs. East Marshall

The Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets will venture away from home to square off against the East Marshall Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Having struggled with 13 defeats in a row, Iowa Falls-Alden turned things around against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura on Thursday. They and the Cardinals finished up their match with a 2-2 draw. The result was nothing new for Iowa Falls-Alden as the squad haven't won a game since March 31st.

Meanwhile, after soaring to six goals the game before, East Marshall was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against West Central Valley, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, East Marshall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 168th, while West Central Valley are ranked 42nd).

East Marshall has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-10-3 record this season. Iowa Falls-Alden's draw gives them a new season record of 0-18-2.
