Soccer Recap: Mira Monte Comes Up Short

After flying high against Del Oro last Friday, Mira Monte came back down to earth. The Mira Monte Lions fell just short of the Arvin Bears by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Mira Monte's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1. As for Arvin, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8-2 record this season.

Mira Monte wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Foothill on the 24th. Arvin has also already played their next game, a 9-0 victory against North on the 24th.
