Basketball Recap: El Dorado Continues Home Dominance on Friday

El Dorado hadn't done well against Esperanza recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The El Dorado Golden Hawks came out on top against the Esperanza Aztecs by a score of 47-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Hawks.

When it comes to explaining why Esperanza lost, don't look at Alexa Muller. Despite the final result, she posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Janelle Miyatake, who scored five points.

El Dorado's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9. As for Esperanza, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-10.

El Dorado will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marlborough at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Marlborough knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully El Dorado likes a good challenge. As for Esperanza, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-36 victory against Sunny Hills on the 4th.
