Basketball Recap: Johnsonburg Comes Up Short

Johnsonburg lost against Kane back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Johnsonburg Rams took a blow against the Kane Wolves, falling 58-31. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 648th, while the Wolves are ranked 317th).

Kane found their leader in freshman Addison Haight, who went 12 of 20 on her way to 28 points and eight steals. Thanks to that strong game, Haight now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Hailee Sheaffer, who went 6 for 13 to rack up 12 points and five assists.

Johnsonburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Kane, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Coming up, Johnsonburg will challenge Clarion Area at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kane, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-43 defeat against St. Marys on the 10th.
