Softball Recap: Gore Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five contests, Gore finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of the Keota Lions by a score of 1-0. The Pirates have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Gore's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Keota, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Gore didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against McCurtain on the 5th. Hopefully Keota paid attention to the Pirates' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Pirates on Friday.
