Basketball Recap: Wallenpaupack Area Takes a Loss

Wallenpaupack Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Scranton Prep Cavaliers and fell 72-38. While losing is never fun, the Buckhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 274th, while the Cavaliers are ranked fifth).

Wallenpaupack Area's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Scranton Prep, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1.

Looking ahead, Wallenpaupack Area will head out on the road to challenge Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on February 19th. Scranton Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
