Basketball Recap: Northeast Vikings vs. Carver High School of Engineering & Science

Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against Carver High School of Engineering & Science, falling 55-24. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carver High School of Engineering & Science apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carver High School of Engineering & Science to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabella Brown, who posted 21 points. The dominant performance gave Brown a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Savannah Hall, who put up 18 points.

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Northeast will venture away from home to take on Freire Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, they will square off against Mastery Charter North - Pickett at 3:15 p.m. on January 15th.
