Basketball Recap: Northern Cambria Comes Up Short

Northern Cambria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They came up short against the Glendale Vikings, falling 55-29. The Colts were down 51-18 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glendale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Peterson, who posted 20 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Peterson has scored at least a third of Glendale's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Leiden, who earned 14 points.

Northern Cambria's record is now 0-16. As for Glendale, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Northern Cambria has already played their next game (against Cambria Heights), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Glendale won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Star at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glendale is facing North Star at the right time seeing as North Star is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
