Kennedy took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They skirted past the Jefferson Academy Jaguars 15-14. The Commanders haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jefferson Academy fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Kennedy will challenge Thornton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Commanders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season. As for Jefferson Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Aurora Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.4 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
