Soccer Recap: Laguna Beach Takes a Loss

Laguna Beach and El Dorado squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Laguna Beach had to settle for second. They fell just short of the El Dorado Golden Hawks by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Breakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Golden Hawks are ranked 90th).

Laguna Beach's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for El Dorado, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Laguna Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for El Dorado, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Claremont at 5:00 p.m. Claremont is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.
