Recap: Edison Vikings vs. Manteca Buffaloes
The Edison Vikings were the 67-44 winner over the Manteca Buffaloes when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Edison was outmatched by Manteca on the road and fell 61-14. Edison was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-8.
It was another big night for Jada Ikharo, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds for Manteca. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabella Sanchez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Edison now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Manteca, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Edison will head out on the road to face off against Cosumnes Oaks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Manteca won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Riverbank at 4:30 p.m. on December 16th. Riverbank is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
