Softball Recap: Mill Creek Starts off Right with Win over North Oconee

Mill Creek took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Oconee Titans a 13-0 shutout. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

The team relied heavily on Ellie Kava, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Cate Brennan was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Coming up, Mill Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Walnut Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Oconee, they will head out to take on Peachtree Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
