Soccer Recap: Washington Comes Up Short at Home Against Hapeville Charter

Washington unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Hapeville Charter Hornets on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

The victory got Hapeville Charter back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Washington will take on Lovett at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lovett is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season. As for Hapeville Charter, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Jonesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
