It was a good run, but Woodbine unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Woodbury Central Wildcats by a score of 6-5. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Woodbine's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Woodbury Central, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-8.

Woodbine didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-4 defeat against Audubon on the 30th. As for Woodbury Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Lawton-Bronson on the 30th.
