Soccer Game Preview: Berean Christian vs. Concord

The Berean Christian Eagles will face off against the Concord Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Berean Christian will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Berean Christian's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Mt. Diablo as Berean Christian made off with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Mt. Diablo from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Angie Chang led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in January, Concord was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. Neither they nor Ygnacio Valley could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Berean Christian's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven contests. With that draw, Concord's record moves to 5-7-2.

Everything went Berean Christian's way against Concord in their previous meeting back in January, as Berean Christian made off with a 3-0 win. Will Berean Christian repeat their success, or does Concord have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
