Soccer Recap: Gainesville Wins Going Away Against Whitefield Academy

On Friday, the Gainesville Red Elephants got the win against the Whitefield Academy WolfPack by a conclusive 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Red Elephants, who have now won three matchups by five goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Whitefield Academy from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Abraham Vazquez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory made it two in a row for Gainesville and bumps their season record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those two contests. As for Whitefield Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Gainesville wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 1-1 loss against Bearden on the 15th.
