Soccer Recap: Gatewood Takes a Loss

Gatewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against the St. George's Athletes, falling 5-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against St. George's this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in February.

Gatewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for St. George's, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2-1.

Looking ahead, Gatewood will square off against Central Georgia Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. George's, they will challenge Atlanta Jewish Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. George's will be up against Atlanta Jewish Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.17 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
