Softball Recap: Caney Valley Comes Up Short

Caney Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nowata Ironmen. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Ironmen since Friday.

Caney Valley's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Nowata, with the win, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-17.

Coincidentally, Caney Valley and Nowata will both be playing Kellyville the next time they take the field. The Ironmen will head out to face the Ponies at 1:45 p.m. on Friday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 4:15 p.m.
