Baseball Game Preview: Flora Wolves vs. Edwards County Lions

Flora and Edwards County are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Wolves will be playing at home against the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Flora didn't have quite enough to beat Altamont and fell 7-5. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly two runs.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five contests, Edwards County finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell 5-0 to Gibson Southern. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Flora now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Edwards County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Flora couldn't quite finish off Edwards County when the teams last played back in May of 2025 and fell 3-1. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
