Soccer Game Preview: Reseda vs. Sylmar

Reseda is 0-10 against Sylmar since January of 2020 but things could change on Wednesday. The Regents will welcome the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Reseda is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Reseda barely beat Panorama the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Regents put the hurt on the Pythons with a sharp 5-1 win back in December of 2025. It was an even better day for Ivet Bautista as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Sylmar's offense. They fell just short of Lakeview Charter by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday.

Sylmar's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Reseda, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 3-4-1 record.

Reseda suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Sylmar when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Can the Regents avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
