Preview: Lynwood Knights vs. Brentwood School Eagles

The Lynwood Knights will face off against the Brentwood School Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lynwood will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Lynwood extended their postseason success on Saturday against Esperanza. They came out on top against the Aztecs by a score of 58-49.

Meanwhile, Brentwood School put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They breezed by Crescenta Valley at home to the tune of 75-48. Given Brentwood School's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Crescenta Valley is ranked 100th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brentwood School can attribute much of their success to Jocelyn Pascual, who scored 21 points along with four steals, and Lev Feiman, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Feiman hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aariah Roa, who scored 12 points along with six assists and three steals.

Lynwood pushed their record up to 18-11 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Brentwood School, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Lynwood ended up a good deal behind Brentwood School in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, losing 72-58. Can Lynwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
