Football Recap: Sunnyslope's Undefeated Season over After Four Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Apollo last Friday, Sunnyslope came back down to earth. The Vikings lost 27-7 to the Horizon Huskies on Friday. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 19-0 to the Huskies when the teams met back in September of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Sunnyslope still got an impressive performance from Kelton Rogers, who rushed for 50 yards and one score, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.

Horizon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bodie Zamorano, who rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. Zamorano is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 110 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Dylan Brush, who rushed for 111 yards and one TD on only 13 carries.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sunnyslope fell to 3-1. As for Horizon, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Sunnyslope will challenge Cactus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Horizon, they will face off against McClintock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
