Soccer Recap: West Delaware Takes a Loss

West Delaware was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They came up short against the Independence Mustangs, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to West Delaware of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

West Delaware's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Independence, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 3-14-1 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Delaware will take on Vinton-Shellsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Independence, they will square off against Dike-New Hartford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
