Penns Valley Area's and Bald Eagle Area's contest on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Penns Valley Area turned on the heat in the second half with 32 points. Penns Valley Area put the hurt on Bald Eagle Area with a sharp 45-21 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Penns Valley Area has posted since December 4, 2023.
Scotty Dinges was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 17 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Ellie Romig was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Clearfield didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bellwood-Antis on Friday, but they still walked away with a 51-46 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Clearfield.
Penns Valley Area pushed their record up to 5-7 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Clearfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
