Softball Recap: Adams Central Comes Up Short

Adams Central's last matchup with St. Cecilia could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Patriots came up short against the Bluehawks, falling 7-1. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Adams Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macie Deines, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Adams Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for St. Cecilia, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Adams Central will head out to face off against McCook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bison have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.61 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Cecilia, they will take on Guardian Angels Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
