Gunnison never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by  a  15-0 margin over the Aspen Skiers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  12-0  on Tuesday.
 Josie Vollendorf was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in August.  Audrey Meeuwsen also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Gunnison  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .731. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Gunnison is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Aspen,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-14.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gunnison will take on Basalt at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Cowboys' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 8.3  runs per game this season. As for Aspen, they will be playing at home against Battle Mountain  at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.18  runs per game on average), something the Skiers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
