Softball Recap: Etowah Comes Up Short

Etowah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Cherokee Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss on Tuesday.

Etowah's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Cherokee, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-8.

Etowah and Cherokee should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 115th) will meet Sprayberry (ranked 257th) at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Cherokee will take on Marietta at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (84 vs. 305).
