Basketball Recap: HANNAH BEGGS Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

Clarion-Limestone not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 7th (when they won 56-17). They put the hurt on the North Clarion Wolves with a sharp 54-33 win. With the Lions ahead 33-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Clarion-Limestone's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was HANNAH BEGGS, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds BEGGS has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was CORINNE HEPFL, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 14 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Clarion-Limestone has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Clarion-Limestone and North Clarion will both be playing Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley the next time they take the court. The Wolves will host Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
