Soccer Game Preview: Pacific Ridge vs. Carlsbad

The Pacific Ridge Firebirds will take on the Carlsbad Lancers in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pacific Ridge's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Pacific Ridge is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Sage Creek on Friday. Pacific Ridge fell just short of Sage Creek by a score of 1-0. One thing that didn't help the Firebirds' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Tess Twardowski.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Carlsbad's offense. They lost 3-0 to Poway on Tuesday.

Pacific Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Carlsbad, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
