Baseball Recap: Spokane Comes Up Short

After flying high against Verona on Tuesday, Spokane came back down to earth. The Owls lost 9-3 to the New Covenant Academy Warriors on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Owls have suffered since April 28, 2025.

Spokane saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tim Rantz, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Tristan Gold was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Spokane's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for New Covenant Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Spokane nor New Covenant Academy have any future games scheduled.
