Soccer Recap: Earlham Takes a Loss

Earlham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 4-0 to the Gilbert Tigers. While losing is never fun, Earlham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Gilbert are ranked 27th).

Earlham's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Gilbert, the win keeps they at an undefeated 7-0-5.

Earlham has already played their next match (against Des Moines North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Gilbert, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Winterset on the 25th.
