Soccer Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

After flying high against Inglewood last Monday, Centennial came back down to earth. The Centennial Apaches fell 2-0 to the Hawthorne Cougars on Wednesday. If the Apaches were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Centennial has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-5-4 record this season. As for Hawthorne, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will venture away from home to challenge Beverly Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Hawthorne has already played their next game (against Leuzinger), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
