Basketball Game Preview: Gilbert Tigers vs. Mesquite Wildcats + How To Watch

The Gilbert Tigers will face off against the Mesquite Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mesquite took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Gilbert, who comes in off a win.

Gilbert took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 59-51 victory over Sunnyside. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Mesquite had to suffer through a 75-34 loss at the hands of Deer Valley. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Gilbert has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Mesquite, they dropped their record down to 5-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Gilbert couldn't quite get it done against Mesquite in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 as they fell 59-50. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
