Basketball Recap: Kasey Weibley Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Greenwood

Upper Dauphin Area posted their closest victory since December 19, 2024 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-34 win over the Greenwood Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in January, they had to take a 42-31 loss.

Upper Dauphin Area's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kasey Weibley led the charge by putting up five points in addition to 15 boards and five blocks. The dominant performance gave Weibley a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Rothermel, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Upper Dauphin Area smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matches.

Upper Dauphin Area has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Greenwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.
