Soccer Game Preview: Rio Mesa vs. Dos Pueblos

The Rio Mesa Spartans will venture away from home to square off against the Dos Pueblos Chargers at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Rio Mesa's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Rio Mesa fell victim to Yorba Linda and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Dos Pueblos also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Valencia by a score of 1-0 on Saturday.

Dos Pueblos' loss dropped their record down to 6-2-2. As for Rio Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-2.

Rio Mesa came up short against Dos Pueblos when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Rio Mesa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
