Volleyball Recap: Episcopal Gets the Win

Episcopal had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints. The Maroon were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Saints, so the Maroon were just returning the favor.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jossy Byars, who had nine assists and six digs.

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy now has a losing record of 2-3.

Episcopal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against StoneBridge on the 6th. After both having extra time off, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and Collegiate will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
