After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Waterloo West, Hempstead was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Anamosa Raiders as they made off with a 12-1 win. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Hempstead has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Anamosa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-21.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hempstead beat the Raiders by a score of 9-5 later that day.
