Basketball Game Preview: Firth Cougars vs. South Fremont Cougars

The Firth Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the South Fremont Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Firth will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Firth earned a 40-27 victory over Ririe.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Firth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mckenna Erickson, who posted nine points. Georgiana Jolley was another key player, putting up eight points.

Meanwhile, South Fremont faced Teton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. South Fremont took down Teton 55-39.

Firth's record is now 10-8. As for South Fremont, their record now sits at 17-2.

Firth suffered a grim 60-38 defeat to South Fremont when the teams last played back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of South Fremont's Brianne Bailey, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 boards. Now that Firth knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
