            Softball Recap: Crisp Academy Wildcats vs. Tiftarea Academy Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Crisp Academy hadn't done well against Tiftarea Academy recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of  9-4. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Panthers  two weeks ago, they had to take a  2-1  defeat.

 Laura Evans was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  tossed seven innings while giving up  four earned runs off   six  hits. What's more,  she posted five  strikeouts, the most she's  had since back in October of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Evans wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Jenna Wildes, who  went 3-for-5 with two  RBI.
Crisp Academy now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Tiftarea Academy, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 2-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crisp Academy will welcome Trinity Christian  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Tiftarea Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Westfield School  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Panthers have won three straight at home dating back to last season, while the Hornets won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
