The Mars Fightin' Planets won the last time they faced the Shaler Area Titans, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Mars skirted past Shaler Area 45-42.
Mars got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cecilia Christy out in front who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Vita Vargo, who scored 15 points.
Mars' victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Shaler Area, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Mars will be playing at home against North Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shaler Area, they will head out on the road to face off against Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hampton is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
