Football Recap: Washington Piles Up the Points Against Furr

Washington lost to Furr back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Brahmans, posting a 42-9 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Isaiah Sowell looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 79 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries.

Washington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Quiten Powell and Larry Butler. Another thorn in Furr's side was Dexter Williams, who picked up two sacks and made eight total tackles.

Washington now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Furr, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Washington and Furr will both be playing Scarborough the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th, while the Brahmans will host them at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
