Valor Christian was sadly handed a loss on Monday, but Elizabeth Canales did her best to prevent it. Canales was dynamite, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
