Recap: Harmony Area Owls vs. Glendale Vikings
The Harmony Area Owls had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 44-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glendale. Harmony Area lost against Glendale in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-17 score last time.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glendale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Leiden, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Madison Peterson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Harmony Area's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Glendale, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harmony Area will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Glendale at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Glendale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Purchase Line at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
