Basketball Recap: Jayleen Roldan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Santa Ana Valley over Los Amigos

After soaring to 70 points the game before, Santa Ana Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost to the Los Amigos Lobos on the road by a 41-25 margin. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lobos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Santa Ana Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayleen Roldan, who posted nine points.

Santa Ana Valley's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Los Amigos, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Santa Ana Valley has already played their next contest (against Orange), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Los Amigos will challenge La Quinta at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. La Quinta's defense has only allowed 26.9 points per game this season, so Los Amigos' offense will have their work cut out for them.
