Baseball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia and Phillipsburg squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Columbia had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Stateliners by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Columbia has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-18 record this season. As for Phillipsburg, their record now sits at 14-12.

Columbia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Phillipsburg, they will take on Ridge on Friday.
