Slippery Rock had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 54-46 win over the General McLane Lancers on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Rockets as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Cj Sabo was her usual excellent self, going 11-for-21 en route to 23 points along with eight boards and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Romanovich, who scored 18 points.
Slippery Rock's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points over those games. As for General McLane, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.
Slippery Rock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-40 loss against Harbor Creek on the 26th. General McLane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
